Such a busy day for me trying to get all this crap done and then our preschool closes because the Portland Public Schools System threatened to close. Of course the day turned out to be wonderful with no severe weather conditions. I wouldn't be so frustrated except that both my neighbors are attending preschools that opened their doors when they saw the day was nice. Jim and I are trying to split the day in half now but neither of us are getting much done.
We selected our school because it was small, focused on the imagination and interacting with a group, nature and child development but it cost quite a bit more, is closed more often than other schools and the scheduling is causing my husband and I some distress. I am trying to get this new line launched before I pop out number #2 (due in June) and let's just say that it is hard right now...
How was that for publically announcing my pregnancy? We are so excited. Ava thinks she is going to have a little sister and wants to call her either Cindeerellee or Ella. If it is a boy he will be called bobohead. She has already announced that her little sister is going to sleep in her room with her.

Jennifer of Dishy Duds was contacted by more than a couple of customers who informed her she had more than one copycat on etsy.com. She attempted to contact Etsy and have them do something about it. They were completely unhelpful and the woman who is now selling to stores (who have the same attitude of who cares that I am selling illegal stuff) exact copies of the Dishy Duds shirts is still selling them on Etsy. She contacted Jennifer and said in an attempt to maintain the peace she would take them down. She never did. Etsy stood by the person stealing from Jennifer. Etsy seems to take no notice of all the copyright infringements on their site. Someone DOES need to do something about them. Everyone knows they sell other people's copied shit. They do need to be held accountable. Cafe Press has a policy in place and will immediatly shut down anyone even suspected of copyright infringement until it is proven otherwise. Etsy takes absolutely no responsibility. If your rights have been violated please do contact us as we are considering legal action.

Wow, what a holiday. Our tiny house rocked with visitors. Jim's family came into town and my sister flew in from NYC. We served an xmas dinner vegan style.
Ava was overloaded with Princess goods but only one Disney product sent from my stepmother. A cell phone, princess purse and princess credit cards. Grrr. I have given into the whole princess affair and am passing it off as a phase. I thought this article in the NY Times was a pretty good read
. I did give Ava some cleaning tools and she is totally into them. She puts on her raggedy dress and cleans like Cinderella. Sweeping, Ironing, Mopping (gets her mop wet with water) and Dusting. It is pretty cool. I hope she never catches on that cleaning is considered a chore.
It is a bit strange but my stepmother keeps giving me and my sister things that belonged to my father. He passed away nearly 10 years ago. So, for x-mas we open a gift that contains his graduation ring and a broken watch that he wore. I don't know. It is a bit strange to get his things as 'gifts'.
The new website is almost ready to go but from the front page I don't think anyone will know what we do, but it is so damn cute and fun. I hate to change it out for the standard pictures of kids in shirts. So boring.
Ava is turning four next week and we decided to throw her party at a rock climbing gym as she loves to climb dem walls. I think she will dig it. At least I hope she does. I had promised to take her to Disney World when she turned four but just can't after reading all the stuff Disney does overseas
(although here they are apparently very good with the treatment of their gay and lesbian employees
